Geneva Airport is an urban airport, accessible within minutes by bus, train, or even by bike. It is human-scaled with just one runway, yet it performs the feat of flying numerous planes to all corners of the world. In 2023, it offered 143 destinations to its users.
Owned by the State of Geneva, Geneva Airport has been an autonomous public institution since 1994. It receives no subsidies from the State of Geneva but returns a portion of its profits to it. It finances its operations and investments through bond loans.
