External assessors: working for highly demanding certification
Here at LUCIE, our certification processes are ethical, demanding and transparent, in line with CSR values. Our LUCIE 26000, LUCIE ESG, LCUIE One Planet and SIT2 are the most demanding in terms of commitment. They ensure you will be recognised and credible as a result of our four main principles:
1/ On-site evaluation by an expert
An external evaluation of the organisation’s CSR approach is conducted by an expert partner and includes a consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
2 / Integrity of the approach
Agence LUCIE is neither a judge nor party to the process and does not decide whether certification is awarded. It calls on independent, unpaid CSR experts.
3 / Certification is awarded by an independent committee
These CSR experts are volunteers who come together in a Certification Committee and decide together whether or not to award certification by studying the organisation’s audit and three- or four-year action plan, depending on the certification.
4 / Monitoring check
To ensure that the organisation is implementing its CSR action plan, a monitoring audit takes place after 18 or 24 months depending on the certification.
What about the other certifications?
Although the LUCIE Progress and SIT1 certification processes are simpler, external assessments remain at the heart of all Agence LUCIE certification processes. Carried out by experts, they bring an external, objective perspective to organisations and their CSR practices. The assessors also suggest areas for improvement to organisations, to help them progress.
The Certification Committee: a fully transparent and independent certification process
The Certification Committee guarantees that certification is thorough and independent. It consists of CSR experts and representatives of organisations who are all volunteers.
Their role is to check that the commitments made by an organisation applying for certification are aligned with the issues they are facing and their stakeholders, and that they are based on the audit report.
