LUCIE ESG certification is aligned with the ESRS norms in the European CSRD, which obliges companies covered by the Directive to report their environmental and social indicators and facilitate their responses to purchasers, funders and other stakeholders by providing turnkey, structured data following the ESRS. CSRD, a new challenge for large companies

The CSRD (“Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive”) is a European directive on sustainability. The aim of the CSRD is the enable everyone to easily identify the policies and indicators obtained by their suppliers, clients and partners regarding CSR. The obligations to produce a report on extra-financial topics such as environmental, social and governance issues (ESG) are currently being reviewed as part of the European “Omnibus” legislative package.

A certification which is adapted to all organisations

LUCIE ESG certification is aimed at all companies, regardless of size or sector of activity, with high levels of commitment and CSR ambition:

Companies covered by the CSRDà

for organisations with more than 1,000 employees and a net turnover over 450 million euro / and net turnover over 450 million euro for foreign organisations.

Companies not covered by the CSRD

wishing to introduce a CSR policy in line with this regulation to facilitate interaction with their stakeholders.

The steps to obtaining LUCIE ESG certification

With LUCIE ESG certification, the CSRD becomes clear and actionable in practical terms. Operating on the same principle as the LUCIE 26000 certification, it helps you in a structured way to implement a four-year action plan to become more committed and responsible.

Two-day LUCIE ESG training

Increase your skills and leave with all the resources necessary to carry out a self-assessment and establish a CSR action plan which is aligned with your priorities and ESRS standards.

Self-assessment

You will take stock of your existing CSR practices.

On-site audit by an Agence LUCIE partner assessor

Your approach will be audited by an independent RDT expert, who will also suggest areas for improvement. Certification is awarded if you obtain at least 500/1,000 during the audit and if your commitment plan is deemed to be coherent and high quality.

Making commitments

You draft your CSR action plan, to be implemented over four years, and we will help you with this plan through a clear, structured roadmap.

Awarding the LUCIE ESG certification

The certification is awarded for four years by an independent certification committee, ensuring the transparency and credibility of the certification.

Monitoring and renewal

You implement your commitments, continuously progress, receive support from the LUCIE Community and assess your progress (monitoring and renewal audits).
