Founded in 1927, it was as a thermostat manufacturer that Calorstat won over the largest number of car manufacturers of the time. Research and development of new products marked its success from these early years.
Today, Vernet holds a leading position in the thermal control market. The “wax” thermostatic element, launched in 1965, was an innovation that still sets Vernet apart from its competitors.
Vernet then applied its acquired experience to new sectors. Thermostats for home and building systems quickly established themselves as industry standards.

As a guided tour and excursion agency based in Bordeaux, we offer both themed tours of the city and minivan excursions to the Bordeaux vineyards.

Vert Bordeaux’s goal is to be fully committed to sustainable tourism by offering an increasingly wide range of tours and excursions for locals, French tourists, and foreign visitors. The aim is to showcase the city and its region through its history, culture, and committed economic players (eco-friendly shops, locavore restaurants, organic and biodynamic winegrowers).

Internal commitments are also crucial (ethical banking, responsible digital technology, social actions, etc.).

A small agency with a single vehicle and two tour guides from Bordeaux, Vert Bordeaux combines professionalism, expertise, commitment, authenticity, and good humor to make each tour and excursion a friendly opportunity for discussion and learning.

The municipal administration of the City of Biel/Bienne implements the decisions of the Municipal Council (executive) and the City Council (legislative). Around 2,500 employees (1,200 FTEs) provide services in French and German for the five departments and the Town Clerk’s Office.
